Patriarchal pedants preach,
Petition, prophecy,
Pray, preside.
silent sisters …
Talkative teachers translating texts,
Tutor, train,
Tell.
silent s…
Loving Lord listens.
Leans in.
Looks.
Lifts their veil to illuminate.
Gently
rebukes.
‘I sent these women to you,
my message made quite clear
for those whose eyes are open,
for those with ears to hear.
The Father heart, and my heart,
our thoughts and spirits one,
call out to all who love us,
‘Embrace our union.’
So human-made divisions
are not considered just.
Welcome to the Kingdom.
Come, and sit – with us.’
